Our practice covers both regulatory and commercial aspects of the insurance industry. We have assisted in establishing local operations in Latvia for large international insurance and re-insurance providers. This included assisting in the process of obtaining an insurance licence and making respective filings with the relevant regulator (now the Financial and Capital Markets Commission of Latvia). We also advise on legal aspects of insurance contracts under Latvian legislation as well as represent claimants and respondents in judicial proceedings involving insurance claims.
