We consider the field of intellectual property a particularly important and expanding area of our practice. Our staff includes a certified patent and trademark attorney which allows us to formally represent our clients' interests in the Latvian Patent and Trademark Office on matters of patent and trademark registration and appeals. We have valuable practical experience in relation to complex judicial proceedings involving intellectual property rights. This includes representing well known multinational corporations in cases involving counterfeit copies of their goods, illegal use of trademarks and representation in relation to claims of unfair comparative advertising. We also handle aspects of transactional work in this specialty such as licensing agreements and transfer of intellectual property rights.
