Trade & Customs Regulations

An area of particular strength at Skudra & Udris is Trade and Customs Regulation, especially as it relates to international transactions and in commercial as well as regulatory matters. Our partner Ziedonis Udris is one of the co-authors of the first Latvian language commentaries to Incoterms and international trade law and practice. Mr. Udris has considerable practical experience in this field from the time he served as a legal counsel on the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and where he presently holds the post of the Chairman of LCCI Arbitration Court. On the regulatory side, we advise our clients on a broad spectrum of issues covering customs law and practice including clearance procedures, transit of goods, tariffs and duties, competition policy, regulation of free economic zones and the application of international treaties
